By now we know that most patients seek chiropractic care to help relieve musculoskeletal pain. Chiropractic care has been proven to help with back, neck, leg, foot, arm, and shoulder pain. However, research indicates that regular chiropractic adjustments can also help:
- Prevent heart attacks
- Lower blood pressure
- Reduce heart rates
- Relieve chest pain
- Support the cardiovascular system
In a study examining systolic and diastolic blood pressure, the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics tested patients’ anxiety levels before and after an adjustment performed by a chiropractor. The patients who received active treatment through chiropractic care experienced a large drop in blood pressure and a distinctive decrease in the levels of anxiety. These results prove chiropractic treatment supports the cardiovascular system.
